Man vs Lakes · 15 July 2017

We care for children & young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambs, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk and support their families. This can be at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton, The Treehouse and The Nook. We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income.

Story

We will be taking on one of the most adventurous marathons - distance running journey in Britain and am fundraising for East Anglia's Children's Hospices - EACH.

EACH provide support for families and care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.  This is Rogers and Norton's chosen charity for the year and is such a worthy cause.  Their work is truly amazing and offer precious care, support and wellbeing.  For more information click here: https://www.each.org.uk/

On the 15th July we are taking on the Man v Lakes challenge, which involves running a marathon starting across the quick sands of Morecambe Bay, before taking on the highest peaks of the Lake District and finishing near Lake Windermere.  It involves more than 3000ft of ascending and crossing rivers and lakes before an assault obstacle course just for good measure!

What makes this more of a challenge for me is that I have been injured and have only been training for a month!!  Surely it will be worth donating/sponsoring just to put me through pain....!
