London Marathon For Milly - 2023

Brighton Marathon 2021 · 12 September 2021 ·
We have had 3 years without Milly, 3 years since I ran a Marathon in memory of her (solo, in between lockdowns), and so 3 years on we go again - hopefully this time, the real thing?!
In 2018 Milly was treated for breast cancer and was supported by Macmillan every step of the way. The treatment that she received from the NHS staff at the Macmillan Centre in Kings Lynn was second to none, and the charity was there to help with emotional support, advice and funding applications, as well as signposting other charities that could help. I know that both she and my family are very grateful for the strength and comfort that they have brought. I cannot stress enough how utterly amazing the work that they do is.
I will be trading the quiet Norfolk country side, with the much busier streets of London for the London Marathon in April, and continuing the fundraising for Macmillan. They never fail to amaze me with the incredible work they do for families just like mine. I will be keeping the same just giving page open, and hope that it will continue to be a place full of love and joy as we continue to remember Milly, and help Macmillan with everything they do. We still miss Milly every day, and I still look through the messages of previous donations with fondness. I hope that 3 years later it will continue to spread Milly’s love, and encourage even more donations for this outstanding charity.
Please please please, if you can, donate - every tiny little bit really does help! I was so grateful to everyone who donated previously, so let’s see what we can make happen this time!
Big love, Ailsa x
