Story

Ailsa, our amazing Wife, Mum and Granny, was taken too soon by vasculitis. She suffered with symptoms for over a year, returning continually to doctors and consultants before finally being admitted to hospital in September 2019. She was in hospital for over a year, suffering major strokes and so many hideous complications, with no quality of life. Frustratingly it’s totally treatable and she would have been with us now - if she’d been diagnosed sooner.

We want to raise funds for the Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation (Vasculitis Scotland), to raise awareness of this horrible disease, and support patients and their families in Scotland. No one should have to suffer the way Alisa did. She was such a loving person, who gave so much to so many. She has left a massive hole in our lives. Our loss is immeasurable but so is the love she gave all of us.

Mum didn’t want a funeral. We want to remember her as she would have wanted. Sharing memories of the good times and helping make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
