I'm Aimee, I'm a 22-year-old postgraduate student at Leeds University Business School. Anyone that knows me well knows 2 things: a) I LOVE to run. b) Eating disorders are an issue that is very close to my own heart. So, in 2019 I have decided to run a marathon (something that I have always wanted to do) in pursuit of raising money for Beat, the UK’s eating disorder charity.

It's estimated that 1.25million people in the UK suffer from an eating disorder. These disorders are extremely cruel and some have the highest mortality rates amongst psychiatric disorders. That's why I've chosen to run this year and take this challenge to raise money and awareness. By donating anything you can afford to spare to Beat, you could be providing someone with the support they need to be able to battle through these cruel illnesses.

Se estima que casi 1,25 millón personas en el Reino Unido padecen de trastornos alimentarios. Estas enfermedades son complicadas y algunas tienen la tasa de mortalidad más alta entre los trastornos mentales. Por eso yo he elegido correr y enfrentarme a este gran desafío y recaudar dinero para Beat.
