Story

Youth Cancer

Cancer is the most common cause of non-accidental death in teenagers and young adults in the UK.

6 teenagers in the UK are diagnosed with cancer ever day.

Cancer in 13-24 year-olds comes in many forms and treatments may vary. In this age group cancer can behave differently, sometimes striking in rarer, more complex and dangerous forms which may require harsh regimes of treatment in an attempt to save lives. However, research has made great strides over time and so long as they take up the treatment, 75% of 13-24s can be cured.

It cannot be stressed too greatly that, for the best chance of being cured, young people need to take all the treatment that is prescribed

Your support will enable the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Youth Cancer Trust to achieve more in the fight against cancer in young people
