On the 4th May 2017 at 9:15am, I cycled over to my friends house to feed her cat whilst she was on holiday before work. I was hit by a car en route by a lady who didnt see me. I was rendered unconcious with a massive brain injury and broke my back, neck, rib, collar bone and jaw. The hospital saved my life and my spinal cord. I was in intensive care in a coma for 3 weeks. When I woke up and started walking around, I had a few hand shakes from people that had seen me come in and didnt expect to see me walking. Every member of staff that cared for me was amazing. The ambulance people, the health care assistants, the consultants, the surgeons, the physios, the doctors, the pharmacists, the porters, the nurses, the occupational therapists and the chefs were amazing. So if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be able to walk let alone run this 10k so I’m hoping to raise money for them to continue to fix people.
