my self and my sister are cycling over a 100 miles to raise money for charity my chosen charity is sands Lothian, the reason i have chosen this charity is, as they provide support, counselling and a befriending service for bereaved  parents and there families, this includes miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death, by doing this i hope to raise awareness of stillbirth as it is still very much a taboo subject. every year around 6500 babies die from still birth and neonatal death, putting this in perspective around 17 parents a day take their babies home in a coffin. by improving the awareness i hope these statistics can be reduced in the future.
