We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Hi, and thanks for stopping by..

Reaching one of those 'milestone' birthdays earlier this year prompted me to review my own personal 'bucket list'. According to www.bucketlist.org some of the most popular goals include visiting Australia, learning to ballroom dance and eating haggis in Scotland!

Having already completed 2 of those 3 (can you guess which ones?!) I decided to take on the challenge of climbing the highest mountain in Africa - all 19,341 feet of Mount Kilimanjaro.

At the same time I thought it would be great to raise some money for a very worthy cause. I have long been a supporter of the amazing work done by the NSPCC in protecting vulnerable children and want to do my bit to make a difference to the lives of kids in the UK.

As the NSPCC say - "Every childhood is worth fighting for".
