Fellowship Afloat provides exciting outdoor adventure activities for young people (including those with special needs) from its residential centre at Tollesbury, on the Essex coast. Young people learn new skills and discover new horizons in the context of a supportive Christian community.

Story

I've often dreamed of sailing in the Round The Island Race but, for someone who normally sails in the quiet waters of the East Coast, racing with around 1800 other boats is like a country bumpkin driving on a manic M25!

This year we're biting the bullet and we thought we could also raise money so that others, who might not get the opportunity, can enjoy the outdoor centre called Fellowship Afloat.

Fellowship Afloat have an amazing place in Tollesbury, Essex. It's where I learned to sail in the 70s. They have a Bursary Fund for children from underprivileged backgrounds and those with special needs. In 2013 this fund enabled 250 people to experience a residential place aboard their big red Lightship, Trinity. Look at this inspiring video...

There are more applicants this year but the Bursary Fund is low. Please donate now so that many children can be offered places again.
