AMY'S HOUSE RESPITE FACILITY
Is a local Sheffield charity for children with learning difficulties and mobility issues.
Parents are encouraged to leave their children in this safe environment to be looked after by qualified staff and carers.
The aim is to give parents respite at the same time provide a wonderful place where children can chill out whether watching TV, playing X Box, Cooking, playing in the amazing state of the art sensory room or taken out and about in Sheffield to various entertainment venues.
The popularity of Amies House is growing month on month to the extent that new, larger premesis are required, this will mean quite an expensive outlay moving all the equipment etc.
With this in mind I am walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way in June this year. My challenge is to walk the 80 miles in 5 days and hope to raise £1500 to help this wonderful childrens charity meet the costs of the move to the new larger property so more special needs children and their parents may benefit from the learning and caring environment provided by Amy's House.
