Millionth Tree Treelay, Sponsored walk · 5 May 2012 to 19 May 2012 ·

Trees for Life stands at the forefront of rewilding in the Scottish Highlands. With a focus on Scotland’s spectacular Caledonian forest, we encourage the natural processes essential to life. Together with communities, we are restoring Scotland’s natural and cultural heritage.

Story

The Treelay is an exciting sponsored event taking place between 5-19 May 2012, linking up all the sites where Trees for Life has worked and planted its million trees since 1991. I'm walking one of the legs of the Treelay that is spread over two days, and it will take me from Glen Affric to Glen Strathfarrar, with a night spent camping in Glen Cannich in the middle.

This route includes two of the best Caledonian Forest remnants, in Affric and Strathfarrar, and some spectacular mountain scenery, so I'm looking forward to a great two days!

All this is to raise funds to help Trees for Life with the planting of its next million trees, so please sponsor me generously - your funds are going to a great cause! Thank you for your support!
