Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and making a donation for this worthwhile charity. The Ironman UK event is made up of a 1.2 mile Swim, followed by a 56 mile Cycle ride, finished off with a Half-Marathon. Why you may ask, well somebody once said, "Because a thing seems difficult, do not think it is impossible to accomplish". So, I do this not because I can, but because I have to know if I can.

I will always remember Fred as a wonderful man, brother, friend, father and grandfather. He was so many things to so many people and each of you that knew Fred will have your own particular memories. The one thing I know we  have in common and will remember Fred most for was his natural ability of put a smile on our faces. I am proud to have known Fred, and proud to have been able to call him a friend. I am attempting this event in your memory Fred and hope that together we might make a difference to peoples lives through this charity.
