The 2018 London Marathon will be my 6th marathon but the first one I have run for Charity - I am really keen to raise as much as I can for Macmillan because they provide so much needed care for cancer patients and their families.

The total cost of a marathon place to a charity like Macmillan is in the region of £300 so as part of my commitment to Macmillan I will be donating a minimum of £300 to them by next April which means all of your donations will be going straight to funding cancer care and not in any way paying for me to run!

Here are examples of what your donation could help achieve:

£10 - could allow a benefits adviser to provide financial support to someone with cancer.

£20 - could help to pioneer new ways to spot cancer.

£40 - could help a cancer support group hold their first meeting

£100 -could cover four hours of a Macmillan nurse

Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Without people doing events, running marathons, and donating in all the other ways that we can, Macmillan wouldn’t exist.
