"The Highland Tiger"
The Scottish Wildcat is on the verge of Extinction.
It is Britain's rarest Animal and possibly the rarest cat species in world , there are only around 100 to 300 Scottish Wildcats in the world and most are in the North East of Scotland
Don't let our generation of Scots be the generation that stood by while our Beautiful and unique wildcat dies out.
We have just 5 years to save the Wildcat from extinction. Please do your bit and please donate and every little bit counts.
Scottish wildcat Action is the first National Conservation plan with a vision to restore viable populations of Scottish wildcats in 5 key areas of Scotland to have a sustainable breeding population in each area by 2019.
Road trip
Alan, Ross and I have been planning the North Coast 500 road trip this year to mark the 3 of us being in our 50's and to have a challenging and fun trip in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. We are setting off from Aberdeen , via the Cairngorms to Inverness where we will join the North Coast 500. We will be camping at Applecross, Durness and Dornach and then head along the Moray coast back to Aberdeen. We are hoping to do 777 Miles in 4 days on some of the remotest roads in UK, in my 23 year old Landrover Discovery.
It makes total sense as we drive through the territories of the last small populations of Scottish Wildcats to raise awareness and donations for Scottish Wildcat Action to assist in their tough task and targets.
You can find all about Scottish Wildcat action at their website :-
or look at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland website at :-
