Hey everyone! I'm Alasdair Hall, a 17 year old student from Exeter, Devon. This summer I will be undertaking a seven week trip to Costa Rica & Nicuragua with Raleigh International. Raleigh is an outstanding charity, offering people from all walks of life and ages, incredible oppurtunities and life-changing experiences.

 In Costa Rica our group will focus on environmental projects, often working in national parks with rangers and local communities.In Nicaragua, our projects can range from working with poor rural communities to provide safe water and sanitation to helping people understand ways to live and sustain their surrounding environment better. We will work closely with communities in both countries to create long-lasting, sustainable change.

A donation of any amount would make a huge difference - My flights have already been paid for, so any money which I collect here will go straight into my work overseas. So far I've raised money from sponsored tasks like consuming the worlds' hottest chili! - which was not at all easy! Now I must raise my target and send it in by the end of May, otherwise I will not be able to go :(, and this is not easy when you're in the middle of doing your AS levels.

Aside from the financing, I am eager to undertake this trip , firstly, as I believe it will deepen my understanding of the world and who I consider myself, and also as I have interests to go for a career in non-profit work overseas in the future.
