Story
In aid of the George Oliver Foundation, I shall be competing with a friend, Charlie, in a (completely crazy) race across the Stockholm Archipelago in Sweden on 6 September.
The Foundation strives to improve the lives of disadvantaged children by supporting a number of specific projects every year. It is currently providing funding to 3 projects: the Kids Company Drama Club, Padir School in Uganda where War Child are working, and a project in West London Action for Children providing a children's therapist at a local school.
The Foundation was set up in 2009 in loving memory of George, son of my close friends Mark and Emily, who died suddenly from a rare illness in June 2009 aged 14 months. Further information on the Foundation can be found at www.georgesfoundation.org
About the race: O Till O (which means Island to Island in Swedish) consists of 54 kilometres of running on 19 islands and 10 km of open- water swimming between the islands!! More details can be found at www.otillo.se
How to donate: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Anything you are able to donate would be hugely appreciated by me and the Foundation. Thank you!
