Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Most of you will know that I prefer to don a pair of trail shoes (and run through neck deep water and assault course obstacles) than road running nowadays, and that the more mud and obstacles the better !!

Some of you will recall me entering Commando Challenge last year?  The Commando Challenge is 17Km across the Royal Marines Commando’s training grounds in Devon.  Having run at various army training grounds over the years, this event is a great opportunity to pit my whit against some of the toughest training grounds the military have to offer, check out the picture of me nearly drowning in the process last year!!

Along with Sue and Dan (Team SOLEAN) we were the fastest mixed team last year, so we are back to defend our trophy,  In return for this pleasure they encourage us to help to raise funds for the Royal Marines Charitable trust. The trust helps provide support for injured and wounded Royal Marine Commandos – helping them through rehabilitation, and back into society after leaving the Corps.  Their target is to raise £6m by October 2014, the 350 birthday of the Corps.
