17/08/11 - Skydive DONE!

 

I did it and am back safely in one piece! The skydive was incredible, free-falling from 10,000 ft! I was cool all the way through the pre-jump process (waiting around for over 7 hours)...until the shutter opened on the plane. I faced down at earth, which looked like a blanket full of green patches...then my heart started racing! My guy who I was strapped with was reassuring before the jump with the last instruction being "just don't die and we'll be ok"!

 

I was the first one to jump out leaving a scream on purpose (*shifty eyes) for my friends behind me on the plane (Lisa, Joey, Jess) to try and put them off by seeing and hearing the fear ha! The freefall feeling was amazing, surprisingly you can actually breathe! Once the parachute opened, we did a few twist and turns before landing safely back on earth to live and tell the tale.

 

I want to thank all those who have supported me and donated to the charity. I've exceeded my goal but would like to raise more. If you have yet to donate, you can still do so by making a contribution on my page.

 

What's next? -> Probably another skydive from 15,000 ft.

...Instead...I'm jumping out of one...Skydiving - Simples!

 

3 of my friends and I are raising money for other charities respectively. Please help me raise my target of £500 for The Prostate Cancer Charity. This is your opportunity to make a difference to someone who may battle with this disease in the future.

  

My jump is on Wednesday 17th August so not long to go!

 

In addition, I will be shaving off my beloved hair and removing the sweet-boy appearance for a temporary period! ;-(
