Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our just giving page.

Just after Alby's first birthday he was diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy. The condition affects all of his muscles and will eventually affect the quality and length of his life.

He is now 4 and is wonderful. He has had a really tough year with more hospital appointments than anyone could cope with but he always smiles and plays while we try hard not to fall apart.

He isn't walking anymore which has been the hardest thing for all of us but Alby is about to get his first 'Wheels' in the form of a power chair!  soon he will be able to whizz about with his sister and his friends!

On the 30th of June, I (and many others) will be doing a zipline across the tyne from the top of the Baltic (138ft) in Newcastle to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. Apparently i have to sit on the edge of the roof and kind of 'drop off' which is giving me sleepless nights already.!!

So many people have supported so many of our events and i can't thank you enough for that - it makes so much of a difference.

I have kept this page running with a rolling balance from previous events and i would love to reach my £500 total so if you can donate just a pound - please please do.

I would love to say i won't ask again - but this is my baby boy. I don't have a choice.

Please donate if you can.

With thanks for all the support received so far,

Amy and Keith Morris
