Story
I am taking part in the ITU Worls Triathlon sprint edition (750m swim, 18.9km cycle, 7.5km run) to help raise money for Bloodwise. Bloodwise is a charity that collects money for blood cancer research which is a top 3 killer among children and young adults. Do you want to help?
If sweating my bum off preparing for a triathlon and then
taking part in it can contribute to saving someone’s life then I am ALL for it!
Back in school, I used to volunteer at numerous different
sports events, never really thinking I would be in one of them but this year I actually thought why not? What's stopping me? The answer could not be more simple - nothing.
I can only imagine how rewarding it will be to complete this
race and even more rewarding to finish it with a decent time (decent for me - maybe not for Brownlee’s ;) ).
But I think the most rewarding part of this whole idea will be raising money for Bloodwise. We all know how fun it is to earn money but not a lot of people know how fun it actually is to raise money for a good cause - definitely much more rewarding than sitting in front of a desk all day!
So here I am asking you to donate - and there is no right or wrong amount, every penny counts they say ;)
I always think about it that way – if I can spend 5 pounds
on a drink in a bar, I definitely can donate 5 pounds to save someone's life.
Thank you for taking your time reading this page and showing
interest! Have a nice day Aleks x
