My dad was, as all dads' should be, my role model. He taught me many things in life,  respect for my elders,  work hard, take nothing for granted, love and provide for your family and never be in debt. For the last part of my dads' life after he was diagnosed with cancer, MacMillan helped and supported my family, a debt which my dad cannot repay. It's taken me 8 long years to do this but it's time I repaid this debt. I have decided to take part in my first ever half marathon. Every penny I raise will be hard earned and wisely used.  Please give what you can so that if you ever find yourself in my position you will know in your heart that you have helped provide the support needed by cancer sufferers and their families.
