Andy Sellars Barclays Try and Beat the Former World Blind Golf Champions Golf Day · 10 June 2015
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The aim of the day is for all players to compete against the 2010 B2 World Blind Golf Champions (having finished 5th in 2014, World Championships in Sydney) namely me and my guide Martyn Wright. We did also become the 1st visually impaired golfers to win at the most prestigious Pan Disability Golf event in the world becoming 2012 yourgolftravel.com Disabled British Open Category 2 Champions in August.
This format of the day will be a two tee start stableford 18 holes and entry fee is £80 per player.
Aswel as the entry fee there is also a £10 penalty fee to be paid on the day by any player whose score Martyn and I beat.
After the golfing there will be food provided on a rolling basis as and when players finish and prizes will be awarded for the top 3 scores (maybe more, too early to tell)
The proceeds of the day (less the green fees and food costs) will all be donated to England and Wales Blind Golf. The Charity whose principal aim is to get the Blind and Visually impaired taking part in the wonderful game of golf. I look forward to seeing you all on the day.
Some of the Barclays Team members assisting on the day are: Andrew Lee Sellars, Alexandra Carberry, Mark Hanson, Martyn Richard Wright, Christopher Tacey, Neil Thompson, Craig Andrew Cartlidge and Jon Hercman.
