Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you will be aware, my dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at the age of 38 and he lost his battle in 2006, at just 56.  I am positive that both the length and quality of his life was improved by the care and professionalism of those around him.  I will always be grateful to those who treated him.

Many other suffers are not in such a fortunate position to afford private care and support from their families. For more than 40 years Parkinson’s support and research charity have been working to find a cure and improve lives of those affected by Parkinson's. As well as providing support and information, they fund ground breaking research to advance the understanding of Parkinson’s,

Without the generosity of people like you, Parkinson’s UK’s work would not be possible. Supporters and volunteers are as vital to the charity as researchers and nurses. Please donate as much as you can.

Thanks, Alex xXx
