Story
I'm returning to Lesotho 10 years on with a couple of old school friends. In 2007, we traveled to Lesotho with a group of around 20 students from Royston High School and The City School of Sheffield.
During our three week visit we re-built a sediment dam to aid farmers with water supply for their crops, planted circa 1500 trees, and installed lighting to school housing to enable students to stay closer to school; to try reduce students walking for many miles to and from school each day.
Lesotho is a remote, beautiful part of the world, and shares the entire perimeter of it's border with South Africa. The country itself isn't particularly wealthy and as such visits and work such as this look to promote a more sustainable way of life for the people of Lesotho.
The work we are to carry out solely depends on the amount the group can raise, however presently the idea is to build a new toilet block for the pupils of Malealea High School.
Any donation and any amount is more than appreciated and I'd hope that you'll support me and my friends in fundraising as much as possible.
Thank you,
Alex
