I've never been considered an athlete. All my life I was the one to be picked last or the first one to get palpitations after jogging across a field. Recently however I've decided to motivate myself into becoming a better person, which is one reason why I decided to enter the Great North Run. However this isn't the sole reason behind my run, as I've decided to run for a very worthy cause.

As mentioned, Diabetes UK is a charity that is very close to my heart as I've known people who have had complications with Diabetes and not many people are aware of the potential risks of the disease. Your money can help fund Diabetes UK to carry out the research to help prevent these complications from occurring. It's not just about dealing with the risks from the disease, but many people don't know who to turn to when they're faced with Diabetes. That's where Diabetes UK comes in, offering careline services for those that need it most. This is why it'd be an honor to try and raise awareness of Diabetes and help raise as much money for the charity as possible. Running for Diabetes UK will help inspire me all the way to the finish line, so please donate as much as you can!
