I wanted to do the walk not just for me but for the older generation as my gran is in a care home and they have a dementia ward upstairs.

I walk past that room when i visit her and I have been around people that have the condition so wanted to share my love and support for all concerned.

I wanted to raise money for a local Barnsley charity and sometimes my gran has symptoms of early dementia even tho she's at a cracking age of 93, the home she's at also go on trips and have events there so to see them all happy and smiling is one of the key reasons that pushes me forwards.
