Deloitte has been sponsoring the Ride Across Britain (“RAB”) for a number of years. Since the sponsorship commenced, Deloitte has paid for 80 of it’s employees to do the RAB on the condition that they commit to raising money for Deloitte’s chosen charity partners.

I’ve been lucky enough to have been selected by Deloitte to do the RAB this year. Many people who know me will be aware that I have been a keen cyclist for a number of years. However, this does not mean this will be an easy challenge for me. I will be riding over 100 miles per day for 9 consecutive days in order to complete the challenge. I can probably count on 1 hand the number of times I have ridden over 100 miles in my life, and I certainly wouldn’t have even been able to think about riding 100 miles the day after for 9 days straight. For me, this is a big challenge which will require a lot of training and preparation. 

I am riding to raise money for Mind Guernsey, a fantastic charity working to improve mental health in Guernsey, which is Deloitte Guernsey’s chosen charity partner for the next 3 years.
