Dorney Marathon · 3 April 2021

The Dyslexia Association provides support and services for dyslexic children and adults of all ages, also for their parents/families, educators, employers and the wider community. Their aim is to improve the lives and expectations of dyslexic people, helping them to reach their full potential.

Story

As many of you know, I love a challenge, particularly when it comes to fitness. So as lockdown set upon us forcing gyms to shut, I knew this was the time to tackle one of my life goals: Running a marathon in under 3hrs! (That’s level 9 at Barry’s for all you Londoners - for 3hrs straight!!). So, with the help of my amazing coach Tom South (who’s trained me for the last 12 months and had me running 50 miles a week for longer than I can remember) we’re now only 2 weeks away from race day - Saturday the 3rd April.

I am running the marathon for the The Dyslexia Association, a charity that supports other ambitious young men and women help reach their full potential. Dyslexia can be super tough but channelled correctly, it can also the greatest gift. For sure it’s hard and yes, you have to double down on your efforts, but I whole heartedly believe that with the correct guidance and a positive mindset Dyslexia can be a super power! My goal is to help others like me see this.

So, with a big THANK YOU in advance please give whatever you can and together we can help some young guys and girls to get out there and do their thing!

Thank you

Alex
