Go, Go Gadget Legs!

Bristol 10km 2011 · 15 May 2011 ·
Hello - thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday May 15th I’ll be attempting the Bristol 10k. For those of you who know me, you'll know I'm no long distance runner. Until a few weeks ago the longest I'd run was 1,500 meters and that was 18 years ago in my final school sports day. I also like to leave things until the last minute – which is why I’m writing this with less than two weeks to go and have barely begun my vigorous training routine (think Rocky IV).
The reason I’m putting myself through this is to support Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal – which raises money for the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. I'm also running in memory of Norm who I know would have thought that this is a great charity.
The Grand Appeal fundraises to provide comforts and facilities for patients and their families whilst in hospital. Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provide world-class care to babies and children from Bristol, the South West of England and in some cases the whole of the UK and overseas.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
