Edinburgh Rock and Roll Half Marathon 2013 · 14 April 2013 ·

Sight Scotland has supported and campaigned for people affected by visual impairment for over two centuries, but we know we can do more. Our vision is an inclusive Scotland where everyone, regardless of their sight, has the opportunity to thrive. But we can only achieve this with your help.

Story

On 14th April 2013 I'll be running the Edinburgh Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon to raise money for the Royal Blind charity. Every day, 100 people begin to lose their sight and are often dependent on the support of charities such as Royal Blind.

Royal Blind also funds Edinburgh's Royal Blind School which is doing amazing work in the education and care of young people who are blind or visually impaired.

I'm definitely a rookie on the distance running scene but am excited about the challenge and hoping to raise lots of money for a fantastic cause. Any donations, however big or small, are hugely appreciated and I will be sure to keep you updated on my running antics along the way!

Thanks,

Alexa x
