2010 Etape Du Tour · 18 July 2010 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Having given polo up in 2007 and put on even more weight, I came back from last year's summer holiday thinking life had to change.
I bought a bicycle the next day and cycled around Battersea Park once. It hurt and seemed quite a long way. Recently I cycled to London to Brighton AND BACK!!
On July the 18th I cycling the Etape de Tour, which is to you and me, the amateur stage of the Tour of France. It is 180km starting from Pau and ending on the top of the Tourmoulet (its a ski resort in winter). There are 2 other mountains in the way, google it, it is going to be torture. Trust me I cycled it 6 weeks ago in preparation.
Over the winter I have cycled over 2000 miles, in all conditions, lost 18 kilos and have gained a spring in my step that puts a permanent smile on my face.

Last week I cycled From London to Paris in 3 days. The high point was when we all cycled down the Champs Elysees, which had been closed for our benefit.

I feel it is only right and proper to give something back, to something that has given me so much.
