Story

Hi all,

I'm running my first long distance this year and doing it for the incomparable Charlie Gard Foundation. A lot of you will know how important Charlie was, not just to me personally but to a whole lot of people, and since he passed away 4 years ago his parents Connie and Chris have kept his name and legacy alive by supporting many families who have found themselves in the similarly awful position they did, and trying to prevent anyone going through the same again.

They are doing great work across the board for families living with mitochondrial disease and hopefully I can raise some cash to help out.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

The Charlie Gard Foundation is one of the UK’s leading charities dedicated to fighting mitochondrial disease. The foundation raises awareness for the condition, invests in world-class research into viable treatments, and supports families whose lives have been touched by this incurable disease.
