Sailing was my dad’s life and passion. He started sailing as a boy and carried on into his later years. Building his first boat as a teenager. He sailed Albacore’s, Fireball’s, Solo’s and Flying Fifteen’s, winning many races and events at Portchester Sailing Club, Fareham Sailing Club, Hayling Island Sailing Club with a career highlight of winning the 1995 Flying Fifteen National's in Torquay. . He was well known for his ingenious technical innovations and his talent for seeking out the best wind and rounding the mark way before anyone else.
