I am running for Bristol Refugee Rights because I have been lucky enough in the past to volunteer with them. I was taken aback by the amount they do, their welcoming environment, and the respect they have for their members, who are often directly involved in volunteering in the organisation.

They have a dedicated advice team, and also directly provide things like English classes, family support, and material support in the form of money, bus tickets, and other such items in order to ease access to life in the UK. 

Main projects include Pride Without Borders - a support group and advice service for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and refugees; Early Years Project which provides a free creche + parental support to help young families start a new and fulfilling life in Bristol, and Project CLEAR which is focused on providing acute 1-1 advice support to those who are most in need, such as destitute young people.

This will be my first marathon and a huge personal challenge which I am so excited for. Any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated.
