Myself and Andrew are running the Leicester Half Marathon this year in aid of Hope Against Cancer, a local charity which is committed to providing funding for cancer research projects in Leicestershire and Rutland in order to enable local people to benefit from innovative treatments. They have also funded over 30 research projects into many cancers such as bladder, ovarian, liver, bowel and prostate cancer. As a few of you may know, my Dad is a prostate cancer survivor thanks to the efforts and research funded by charities such as this one.
