Great Manchester Run 10k 2019 · 19 May 2019 ·
Julie was diagnosed with bowel cancer in October 2016, she got the diagnosis of bowel cancer in her mid 40s, and she worked all through her treatment and thankfully beat cancer and lives to fight another day, friends/family in the past haven't been so lucky,
since her diagnosis and during gruelling chemotheropy she did her 1st 10k run in 2017 with family/team mates and did it again last year, she intends to raise more money for Christie’s the amazing organisation who she owes her life to every year, but due to her contracting sepsis and having a kidney operation earlier this year it's not advisable she takes part, This would of been my 3rd year participating in the Manchester 10k but unfortunately I've had to pull out on medical advice because of my hip and knee ........SO! OUR SONS ARE GOING TO DO IT INSTEAD.......😊😍Jack and Kyran are mine and Julie's little boys,
Jack is 7 and Kyran is 6 and they will be entering the mini run on Sunday the 19th May to raise money for Christie's cancer research centre, both of them will probably run twice as far as they need to 😂 because neither of them has an off button and they are full of energy and the best of friends as well as cousins. they both know why they are running it and can't wait to take part and get a medal as well as raising lots of money.
So please support us once again every little helps us save more lives. Cancer can hit any of us at any time so research is still valuable and without fundraising that wouldn't be possible
