Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. It has taken me a while to get training this year, the snow and a few snowboarding knocks haven't helped, but the thaw has finally come and the running is getting back on track. So once again I'm asking you all to dig deep and raise some money for this most deserving of charities.
The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the British Armed Forces and their dependents.
£5 will ensure that a housebound or hospitalised person receives a friendship visit.
£20 could help towards providing skilled advice and an hour's legal representation at a Disability Allowance or War Pension tribunal.
£75 could help towards providing a fresh start for an ex-Service man or woman so they can them adjust to life outside the Services.
The Royal British Legion helps people of all ages and backgrounds. To be eligible for help, you must have served in the Forces for at least 7 days, or be the dependant of someone who has served. It really is that simple. In 2009, the RBL spent over £1 million each week carrying out work among the serving and ex-Service community.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now (after all, you never know when you might need their help!).
