Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In February 2020, The Gloucestershire Cricket Board are taking two performance squads on an overseas tour to India which I am very fortunate to have been selected to captain the Girls team. The tour will contain fixtures in Jaipur & Delhi as well as the opportunity to sample the local culture with excursions and sight seeing. Whilst the trip will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to play cricket in new and challenging conditions, there will also be a charitable element to the trip where cricket kit will be donated to underpriviledged children in India to give them the opportunity to play.
To help raise funds for the trip, myself and the tour party are taking part in a running challenge to run the distance between the Raj Mahal (an Indian restaurant in Bristol) and the Taj Mahal (Agra). This works out that I have to run 65 miles before I depart for India! For those of you that know me well, you will know how much I hate running!!
I will be giving 20% of all the money I raise to Opening Up Cricket who deliver mental fitness sessions to cricket clubs and other groups as well as promoting themes of mental wellbeing and suicide prevention across the UK which is something very close to my heart. Their website (http://www.openingupcricket.com) shows in more detail the work they do.
I would be extremely grateful if you would consider sponsoring me for my leg of the challenge via the link please reference INDparticipants surname ie. INDhill.
Many thanks in advance☺️
