So as some of you may know I had planned to run the 2016 Paris Marathon for The British Heart Foundation but was unable to due to having surgery over New Year, last year. Earlier this year in February I put on a Variety Show Fundraiser and managed to raise a huge £2,000 at the event alone!!

I am now back home after singing in Greece for 5 months and am throwing myself into training, ready for next April!! The British Heart Foundation has close links with my family which is why I have chosen to run the marathon for this charity.

Given that I had been in hospital over new year, having a mammoth show to put on was a fantastic focus and great for my own recovery. This was never about me, it was about raising awareness for The British Heart Foundation but had become my own version of 'light at the end of the tunnel.'
