Story
Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit this page.
Since our darling, 8 week old baby Leo died suddenly in April this year, running has thankfully been a real positive focus for me, and helped my continued recovery.
I have found myself running longer distances recently and thought I’d attempt the Exeter Great West Run, half marathon, and simultaneously give something back to the brilliant ‘2 Wish Upon a Star’ charity.
This charity has shown Rory and I such incredible support, while in hospital in Cardiff with Leo, and at home. At an indescribably painful and traumatic time, when our lives had shattered around us, they were a real life line - of which we’ll always be grateful for.
I hope by raising some funds, it’ll enable this charity to help support other families in need, during such heartbreak and trauma.
2 Wish Upon A Star provides bereavement support for families who have suddenly and traumatically lost a child or young adult aged 25 years and under. When a family loses a child or young adult the effects are devastating for all who knew and loved them. It is important that support is available if and when required. It is important families know that they are not alone and that the feelings they are experiencing are often normal.
