Climbing the O2 in the dark · 13 September 2019

We are dedicated to creating and funding projects to improve quality of life of those affected by Xeroderma Pigmentosum through the advancement of education, support of scientific advancements, provision of safe recreational facilities and promotion of equality and diversity.

Story

Alice is incredible. She lives with XP which basically means she’s allergic to daylight. Alice and her family are amazing - dealing with all the challenges this horrible condition brings. Alice has frequent hospital visits and treatments which she takes in her stride - always a smile on her face!

Whilst in London at half term for yet another hospital appointment - Alice is making the most of her trip. She is going to see her idol Cher in concert and she has also decided to climb the O2 to raise vital funds for the Teddington trust, it will be dark so Alice won’t have to wear her protective head gear and gloves. As her Mum is a bit of a wuss - myself and Hannah Capstick will be climbing with Alice.
