We conduct world class medical research projects. We diagnose and treat thousands of people with epilepsy every year. We do this and much more. We are the UK’s national medical epilepsy charity. With Epilepsy Society, you don’t have to deal with epilepsy alone.

Story

On Monday 12th August 2013, whilst playing tennis, Alice suffered a massive brain haemorrhage as the result of an aneurysm.  After a major operation, she fought bravely, with humour and spirit, and made amazing progress for a week.  Sadly, she very suddenly deteriorated and lost her fight for life on Saturday 24th August 2013, aged 37.

Alice was epileptic: she was lucky that this was well controlled by her medication and she only ever had 2 fits in her life.  She was supported by the Epilepsy Society in the early days of her diagnosis at the age of 16, with information that helped us all.  She raised a significant amount of money for them in 2002 by organising a charity ball, and remained interested in all the fantastic work they do.

Her death was in no way related to epilepsy, but we know she would want all donations in her memory to go to them, in order to help others who have this condition.

Thank you so much.
