Story

Hi Everyone, Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Sadly last October 18th 2022 I lost my nanny. My nan suffered with a rare diabetic condition known as Latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA).It is a slow-progressing form of autoimmune diabetes. Like the autoimmune disease type 1 diabetes, LADA occurs because your pancreas stops producing adequate insulin, most likely from some "insult" that slowly damages the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. She was in and out of hospital for the last 5 years of her life with this condition.

I am doing this skydive on the 3rd June 2023 in aid to help others get more research on this condition.

I miss her everyday but I know she will be watching in spirit on the day..

This is for you nan.

Thank you for reading.
