We support children and families in Ukraine to to cope with the ongoing conflict

Story

Forth Valley Link of Chernobyl Children’s Life Line will be hosting children from the Chernobyl area again in 2018!

On April 26th, 1986 the World’s worst nuclear power disaster occurred at Chernobyl in the former USSR (now Ukraine). The Chernobyl accident killed thousands of people immediately, and because of the high radiation levels continues to affect the health of people in the area severely.

Host families fundraise (£700 per child) to be able to bring children to Forth Valley for a health recuperation holiday, fresh
air, exercise, uncontaminated food and water together with health checks while they are here, raises their immune system giving them respite from normally simple infections for as much as two years.
