Sunday  18 th February ,we will walk 7km around Ingleton Waterfalls to raise funds for National Autistic Society, England. A charity that provide specialist help, information and care for children, adults
and families across England.

In 2004 our daughter Antonia was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Two years later, our son Rares get the same diagnosis of autism. I know personally, I have never felt so hopeless and helpless. I remember my self being confused, looking for information and support.

It was a path with many obstacles. On the other hand we have discovered together how beautiful it is to enjoy small steps of progress after working so hard. Today Antonia and Rares are two lovely teenagers who have progressed enormously.  Antonia is a year 10 student, passionate about drama, while Rares’s special interest is geography. It is difficult to summarise 15 years in just a few sentences.

I tried to write a few passages from our experience, so that people will have a better understanding of our implication in this cause.   In order to raise money for National Autism Society England, we’ll be taking partin this event  : “Romanian in UK  Challenge” -7 kilometres walking around Ingleton Waterfalls Trail , organised  by Alex Dan Dumitru.

Thank you  for helping to make the world a little more autism friendly.  Please support me to rise money for such a worthy cause.

Dragi  prieteni  multumesc ca ati ales sa vizitati aceasta pagina. Multi dintre voi deja stiu povestea noastra.
Suntem parintii a doi copii unici si speciali. Antonia si Rares au fost
diagnosticati cu autism in jurul varstei de doi ani.  E mult de atunci. Cel putin asa imi pare acum
Educatia copiilor   s-a petrecut in invatamantul de masa cu support.
Partea grea, dificila  ramane undeva in urma. Parte din experienta.

Azi Antonia are 15 ani si  este in anul 10 , iar Rares anul 9 , 13 ani .
In noiembrie a avut  loc Shakespeare Schools

7km walking )  trimisa de o prietena foarte implicata in activitati caritabile.

Photos will fallow. Cu deosebita multumire,

 Alina
