On November 1st my life changed forever when my beautiful Mum took her last breath. Although she was poorly, her death has taken  us by surprise. 

If you knew Mum, you would describe her as headstrong, determined and most stubborn. And over the last few years of her health declining, she always insisted she did not want a funeral. So, we as a family will respect her final wishes. 

However, I have set up this page in her memory. St John’s Hospice Wirral were amazing with Mum from the moment she arrived to the moment she left. The staff were outstanding in every aspect of the care they gave her and us. Those difficult days in the hospice we're made a little easier to bear because of the wonderful care she received. 

My hope is that all those who would have liked to attend her funeral would instead like to make a donation to the hospice in her memory. Mum was desperate to get home after being in hospital in Liverpool for weeks and St. John’s hospice was a close as we could get her. Because of this she spent her final days knowing she was not far from home and I truly believe this made a huge difference to her.
