Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Having not got on my bike for nearly a year I am taking up the challenge to cycle 25 miles in our local LiDBA Bike Ride to raise money for Papua Partners who I have supported as a trustee since it was established in 2005.

Papua Partners is an inspirational charity committed to transforming lives in West Papua, Indonesia through tackling the causes and consequences of poverty and social injustice. Papua Partners has two development professionals, Naomi and Javier Sosa living in the remote Yahukimo region in West Papua for 6 years to date. During their time there they have supported an indigenous NGO called Yasumat to become much more effective in supporting the provision of education, health, and income generation for local people and equipping them to promote the sustainability of their natural resources which is home to the world's third largest rainforest. Find out more about Papua Partners by visiting our website on www.papuapartners.org
