Hello you lovely person!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving Page. So as you will now know I am running the London Marathon in April 2013 hoping to raise a significant amount of money for the Childrens Society. So, why am I doing this? (I find myself asking that question fairly regularly!) It's not just about setting myself this incredible challenge - it's about using this opportunity to make a difference in someone else's life. The Children's Society is an incredible charity, they are working to provide a better childhood, for every child. They do all kinds of amazing work including supporting young runaways, giving disabled children a voice, and giving advice to young carers and children and young people who are affected by adult drug and alcohol misuse. They run drop in centres, offer advice and counselling, family support and campaign with goverment and local authorities to provide essential services and safe accomodation for young people. You won't just be sponsoring me for the 26.2 miles on the day, but also for the countless training runs, the sore muscles, the blisters, and the ice baths. Not to mention the fact that I will spend much of the next few months clad in skin tight running gear with high visibility accessories - it's really not a good look by anyone's standards! But knowing that I will be raising money for such an incredible cause, and that I have all your support, really will help me train hard and get me round on the day!
