Time to bite the bullet and admit to myself/the rest of the world that by October I need to be capable of running thirteen miles. Now I realise that half marathons are ten-a-penny these days but I cannot emphasise enough that I. AM. NOT. A. NATURAL. ATHLETE.
However at the beginning of this year I began running with the excellent GoodGym, got a little over enthusiastic about my running abilities (confused km for miles) and signed myself up to the Royal Parks half marathon.
I'm going to be running for Bowel Cancer UK, raising money to fight this grim disease which felled my beautiful mum seven years ago. I'd be so grateful of any sponsorship - knowing that you lovely lot have donated real life money will be the inducement to put my "training programme" (a pdf I printed off a website and have had in my handbag for months) into action ...
