I am currently in training for the Bedford Triathalon which is taking place on 3 October 2010.

I will be doing a 400m swim, 24km cycle and a 5km run which I aim to complete in 30 minutes!

I thought a triathalon meant an opportunity to wear three different outfits - how wrong could I be!

This all started as part of a very early mid life crisis and ended as a fundraising event for the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

This is a fantastic charity that exists to provide a helicopter emergency medical service to the counties of Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and the Milton Keynes area.

This fantastic service does not simply transport patients to the nearest hospital but also routinely carries senior Doctors and Consultants to the scene of incidents in just minutes, providing lifesaving treatment and medication at the scene and en-route to hospital. In essence, they take the hospital to the patient, providing the best possible chance of a full recovery.
